yes, I know. I've been gone awhile....that seems like a thing for me, the more I'm dedicated to it the more I slack off. I apologize , and on to the post!

I wanted to make a simple post about dungeon and raid appreciation. Not so much in the sense of the people who run them, or the fact that 90% of the time when running through LFR at least 60% of your group will be switched out every fight, I'm talking about the dungeon itself.

Many times the beauty and awe of a dungeon/raid/structure is often overlooked due to tearing through the place like your ass is on fire. But ever go back after said instance is done and take a look around?

If you haven't noticed already I'm kind of an art inspired person and being artistic myself, nothing makes me feel better than someone else appreciating my art, so anytime I can, I will appreciate the art and craft of others.

Instance and structure creation is an art all by itself and should be appreciated, but it's so often overlooked due to the neck breaking speed people tend to tear through it. But ever wander back through the dungeon afterwards?

You should, if you like art and can appreciate all the work it took to create such an immerse environment. Take a look upwards, wander over to the sides, peer around corners and you might be quite surprised what you find.

Most don't give it a second thought, but I remind you that someone had to first do layouts, someone had to build it all in wire frame and rend-able 3D graphics w/shading and detail informatin, another took those notes into Photoshop and colored and detailed these objects, giving them texture, pattern and depth, then another comes through, adds details builds the structures, mazes and deathtraps while trying to maintain the feel of the area its situated in.

Look at the dungeons and raids carefully, very few are similar in pattern and design. Yes sets of raids (such as ICC and Pandaria) will all echo the same design, but each instance has its own feel, its own tweak, its own version of the environment.

So with this post, I put up some of my favorite dungeon/raid pics as a thank you to all those who have worked so hard to please the eye but are too far often over looked, and also to make others aware that even though you may dying, you're party griping about bad tank/healers/etc rest assure you will go down in a world full of artistic wonder and awe!
